Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Moonwheel (“Moonwheel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Moonwheel mobile application or contact support.

1. Information handled by Moonwheel

Information stored on your device

Moonwheel may save settings and app state locally, such as volume, favorites, selected music or ambient sounds, sleep-timer preferences, and which audio or visual files you downloaded. This information is used to remember your choices and provide offline playback. It is not uploaded to us by the current version of the app.

Media download and delivery information

When you download or stream content, Moonwheel connects to our content-hosting provider, currently Supabase. As part of providing and securing that service, the provider may process standard network and request information such as your IP address, request time, requested file, and technical connection information. We use this processing only to deliver, protect, and maintain Moonwheel’s content service.

App Store purchases and subscriptions

If you purchase or restore a subscription through Apple, Apple processes your Apple Account and payment information. Moonwheel may receive transaction and entitlement information needed to confirm access, such as the product purchased, subscription status, and relevant transaction dates or identifiers. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Apple handles this information under Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Support communications

If you email us, we receive the email address you use and the message, attachments, and technical details you choose to provide. Please do not send payment-card details, passwords, or sensitive health information.

2. Information Moonwheel does not request

The current app does not require a Moonwheel account and does not request access to your precise location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or health data. It does not contain third-party advertising or cross-app advertising trackers. Moonwheel does not upload a record of what you listen to for behavioral advertising.

3. How information is used

• To play, download, and restore access to Moonwheel content.
• To remember settings and support offline use.
• To verify subscription status and restore purchases.
• To answer support, privacy, safety, and legal requests.
• To secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the service.

4. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only as needed with providers that perform services for Moonwheel, including Apple for App Store distribution, purchases, and subscription management, and Supabase for media hosting and delivery. Their handling of information is also governed by their own terms and privacy notices. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer, subject to applicable law.

5. Retention and deletion

Local preferences and downloaded files remain on your device until you remove downloads, clear the app’s data where supported, or uninstall the app. Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain a support record, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. Apple retains purchase information under its own policies.

You may ask us to delete support correspondence or other personal information we control by emailing support@moonwheel.app. We may need enough information to locate the request and may retain limited records where legally required. Because Moonwheel does not currently offer accounts, there is no Moonwheel account to delete.

6. Your choices and rights

You can manage or cancel an Apple subscription through Apple’s subscription settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information we control, and to complain to a local data-protection authority. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions.

7. Children and family use

Moonwheel is designed for calm family and bedtime use, but it is not designed to collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian should manage downloads, purchases, and support contact. If you believe a child sent personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

8. International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on lawful safeguards for international transfers. Mandatory privacy and consumer rights in your country remain unaffected.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Moonwheel changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate way where required.
